I will never understand people who want kids. Except for one person- I understand her wanting one, but that's a bit different.
I'll probably either never understand or take a long, long time to understand people wanting to get married. Except, again, for the person whose longing for children I understand. Like I said, she's a special case.
I remember in the middle of senior year I got into this huge debate with Tara in Physics class because she asked me if I wanted to get married and have children and I said no. She looked aghast at me and asked why, and I said life isn't all about having kids and getting married. And Tara said that normal people (she emphasized it) all wanted to grow up and have children.
Ha, I said, if that's what normal people want, then I'm glad as fuck that I'm not normal.
(at this Mr. Brubaker lifted an eyebrow.)
Tara persisted, continuing her argument on the basis that I must not be normal because I don't think that the entire point of my being born- the sole reason I exist- is so I can get knocked up and tied down.
Bitch, please. And if you want to bring God into the argument (which she did), and if God does everything on purpose, why would he make some people sterile, if the entire purpose of being born is to get knocked up and tied down?
God, some Christians and pro-life people piss me the fuck off.
On Friday there was this pro-life coalition at my school trying to recruit people, and they had a sign that said 3500 ABORTIONS HAPPEN EACH DAY.
And I thought "Yeah, and there would be more if it weren't for fuckers like you."
(Is it just me, or am I extremely bitter?)
Note to Anyone Reading: A.) If you're Christian/pro-life, good for you. Don't get pissed at me because I'm not, especially since I didn't attack you personally.
That said,
B) If you see me ten years from now happily married and blissfully pregnant, shoot me point-blank between my star-crossed eyes.
