(partly from an email, so some of you may see this twice)

Oh my great fuck I am pissed. The only place that would do sean’s dental surgery without a minimum fifteen hundred dollar out of pocket expense (our insurance does not cover anesthesia except in a hospital setting, so we would have to pay for it out of pocket and wait for it to be reimbursed, and that is a LOT of money that we do not have floating about) had him on the list for an appt. in march. This was the place in the children’s hospital. (this is the ONLY clinic through the hospital I really don’t care for - their dental clinic - this was the one that put Sean in restraints without making Chris aware that they were doing so, which made that situation very much worse - it was only the fact that that particular situation was dealt with swiftly and very well that we even bothered going back.) So we reluctantly take the spot in March. They say ‘well if he’s exhibiting signs of discomfort, call us, and we’ll bump it up’.

Well, they better have access to have a fucking TARDIS.

Turns out he’s rubbing his jaw and favoring one side of his mouth while eating at this point and it may be that the randomness of these tantrums may have at least partly (along with the meds and etc of course) to do with tooth pain. And this is ALSO interfering with getting him seen in the sleep clinic (he needs to have his teeth seen to first - I am not sure why, but the pediatric sleep specialist seems to insist on it.)

If they hadn’t scheduled six months behind for their damn surgeries (seriously, this was scheduled back in October) my poor boy wouldn’t have been in pain, at LEAST *seethe*. Fortunately Attending of Awesomeness has him hooked up with Kidlets Tylenol With Codeine and Chris plans to yell at the dental clinic Monday morning first thing. (They are not open weekends. Otherwise we would be yelling at them before then.)

So he might end up staying an extra day or so to get his teeth seen to, because that’s moved up the priority queue (or it’s going to if it has to move up on the toe of my boot) but then that’ll save him a day stay in March, so that’s a good thing in the long run.

Other than that he seems to be doing well. He’s turning up his nose at hospital food, proving that there are things in the world that he actually won’t eat. (Those who have met him may have trouble believing this.) Don’t know how his sleeping is going, but will find out tomorrow.

Still pissed on his behalf. RAR.

this is my real life, honestly:

"Send in the Clowns" starts playing on the satellite radio
Chris: I have to keep reminding myself that this song wasn't written about the previous presidential administration.
Me: Nope, it's too old. Could have been about Nixon though.
