1.) One positive change has come of the previously mentioned manifesto. But fuckery continues at work, with new fuckeries to add to the list. Of course.
2.) Last week, I saw The Woman In Black. I think it's a delightful gothic horror, with a wonderful atmosphere (aided along by some stellar set dressing and a brilliant location - unless that was

I'm glad you got to see The Woman in Black and enjoyed it. :) I really want to see it (I haven't gone to the movies since seeing The Muppets), but won't be able to this weekend due to prior commitments. Maybe next weekend.
I can't offer any prompts at the moment, but I'd LOVE to read some Sherlockian fic! :D
I have yet to read Odd and the Frost Giants, glad to hear it was Neiltastic. :D Btw, I was reading Neil's blog and he mentioned writing an "HBO pilot," but didn't specify in his post what it was. Whaaaaaa...?! I totally missed something. Do you know anything about that? I'm so out of the loop.

I hope you get to see it. :) Same here... that was the first time I'd been to the movies since The Muppets too (although I don't get to the movies that often, so that doesn't seem too long ago, really).
It was indeed! Not his best work ever, but still had all the charm and beauty and quality you expect from him. I think the HBO pilot he referred to is the American Gods adaptation, but don't quote me on that. I know he's been working on that project, and I've tried to keep up with his postings on Twitter (which he tends to compile -- in more detail -- in his blog posts), but he's so chatty sometimes, it's easy to miss stuff. Apparently, he's also currently working on a short story that will bridge American Gods with its sequel -- yet another project he has in the works!

Same here, especially when he used to answer a ton of questions in his posts. You should see him on Twitter though! Well, he used to be pretty gabby. Since he's been in hermit/writing mode, he's been a little quieter. But there have been times when I swear over 50% of the Twitter posts I got in a day were either from him directly or were things that he'd re-tweeted. How he has time to keep up with that and do all the brilliant, creative things he does is beyond me!

Yeah, seriously! He needs to teach a course on how to get 48 hours out of a 24 hour day or something. ;)
