1.) One positive change has come of the previously mentioned manifesto. But fuckery continues at work, with new fuckeries to add to the list. Of course.
2.) Last week, I saw The Woman In Black. I think it's a delightful gothic horror, with a wonderful atmosphere (aided along by some stellar set dressing and a brilliant location - unless that was CG, which I hope it wasn't), and some of the creepiest damn toys ever. Dan Radcliffe has grown up so beautifully. And, obviously, Ciaran Hinds and Janet McTeer were up to their usual awesomeness.
3.) The Cumberbatch obsession is still in full swing.
If he would simply stop being so fucking talented and intelligent and humble and adorably goofy and beautiful and fucking fascinating, life would be so much easier.
I've begun reading some John/Sherlock, which I'm currently more interested in than SPN fic and RPF... which is odd. That's not to say that SPN fic is dead to me. Not at all. But the new obsession has become more consuming.
In fact, although I suck mightily and still haven't fulfilled any of the holiday fic prompts, I thought I'd offer some Sherlockian fic (BBC series only). So. Any prompts? I'm willing to do gen., John/Sherlock, Benedict/Martin, possibly other pairings; ficlets or drabbles. It's been so long since I've written any fic, I'd love to get the muses stirring again. But apparently I need help prodding them because my stick just isn't good enough to poke them into action. (If that sounds dirty, I'm not apologizing.)
Btw, I haven't given up on the prompts you guys already gave me. Just... offering this as well.
4.) I finally read Neil's Odd And The Frost Giants (lovely!) and am now reading John Connolly's The Book Of Lost Things which has a Gaiman-esque feel to it. Also, when reading, the voice in my head sometimes sounds like Benedict's. This may be a portent of mental collapse.
