Yes this: "Also, this may make no sense whatsoever, but it feels like we haven't had any alone time with Sam and Dean for a while."

I was just thinking that there have been no moments of Sam & Dean tension Or UST in the last several episodes, hardly any of that on screen time that makes the show for me. No matter how many references are made to them or how much fun the boys have it's just felt off to me, even much of the humor has felt forced.

Still love show and love it more tonight than some of the previous episodes - there were some touching moments, even if they weren't S/D and Becky was not as over the top as I had feared.

Same here. I still love the show, still enjoy it. But not having those iconic Sam&Dean moments leaves me feeling off. I keep wondering how the boys are really doing--things have seemed fine since they made up at the end of "Fallen Idols," but that seems too easy after all the previous tension.

I'm also used to the episodes being more balanced, with a comedic episode sandwiched in between darker/dramatic episodes. And with the exception of "I Believe The Children Are Our Future," we've had a long string of mostly light fare. Which worries me, regarding what's to come! Have they been buttering us up for a huge blow?

The balance seems off to em this season, although I was one of the ones who enjoyed the most recent ep - the only thing I wanted that I didn't get was I wanted Sam to be there when the roleplay Sam/Dean told Dean that he didn't get his own life, I really wanted Sam to hear that too! :)

"Have they been buttering us up for a huge blow?"

Kripke seems to be able to keep pulling off surprises, which is one reason to keep watching, but yes I think things may get very dark. :) I told DH if I was Kripke and I knew I wasn't going to renew, there is no reason not to have the epic Lucifer/Michael ending... not what I want to see, but I can understand the appeal from the creators side.

Obviously things did indeed get very dark. Even though we could see it coming, it still didn't soften the blow. I bet Kripke delights in it. Evil little awesome man. *g*

Right, go for it all, or go home. I don't really want to see the Michael/Lucifer show down either. At least, not with the boys as vessels (which is, I assume, the only way that would happen), because then it won't be the boys anymore. The grounded, grittier nature of the show has been one its most appealing aspects. That, despite all the craziness of the world they live in, they're really just ordinary guys (okay, with a bit of demon blood in Sam)--getting by, trying to do their job, etc. And I want them to stay that way... and still save the day.

I really couldn't take the book. :-\ So I don't think I'll see the movie.

After our conversation the other night about babies the other night, one of my dear friends posted about two celebs getting married. And the first thing her friends said was, "oh, they need to start making babies now! they'll be the cutest babies in the world." Heh. So I commented with, "if they want to, of course."

The ladies in my department are having a baby shower lunch tomorrow for one of the women. I contributed to the gift card but will be otherwise occupied for the lunch

Man, work has been a beating of late. It's emotionally exhausting trying to keep focused on my work while dealing with the layoffs and the myriad emotions that accompanied them. So I should probably go to bed now. *nods* *smooches*

I haven't read the book (actually haven't read any Cormac McCarthy *hangs head*). Hmm, the reviews seem really mixed. But the preview looks good.

So I commented with, "if they want to, of course."

LOL Perfect!

*hugs* I hope the work-related stresses ease up for you soon. And, in the meantime, I hope you're able to get some rest. Take care.

Thanks!

Yeah, I rather hated the book. The lack of capitalization, etc., drove me crazy, and I couldn't bring myself to care about the characters. Other people loved it. *shrugs* But I don't see how it would translate well to a film, either way.

No capitalization? Oh, my inner grammar whore weeps at the mere thought!

Next weeks episode looks epic. Honestly I feel like they are getting all the plotbunnies they have always wanted to play with made while they have the chance.

Thanks for the links, I missed his appearances. I love the snake, so lovely and three feet long.

I had never heard of The Prisoner until I saw Sir Ian's appearance on Fallon the other night. Sounds good and Ian is enough to entice me to watch it. I was lol'ing at him flirting with Jimmy Fallon, he is looking great.

Had to google The Road. I don't approve of the beard but other then that I'm looking forward to it. :)

Totally epic! And Ellen and Jo are back! Which, once again, makes me nervous. Heh.

Looks like the nazis at the Bonnie Hunt Show took those videos down. Which sucks, since I never got around to watching. But the Kimmel appearance was awesome. Sometimes I forget how wonderful Dom is, now that he's not as much of a crush as he once was. But stuff like that provides a perfect reminder. :) Three feet indeed!

Missed Sir Ian on Fallon, but I did see him on The View (horrendous fucking show! and they confused Gandalf with Dumbledore) the other week. He flirted with Jimmy? Hee! Sir Ian is ♥.

Reviews seem to be mixed, but the preview looks really good. The beard's bordering on Grizzly Adams, but I kinda like it. *g*

It was plenty of fun, though I'm ready for Show to bring the darkness and drama back!
