Dinner at La Frontera last night. Quesadillas, yum.

Got up early this morning to go to the Food Bank. Today was one of my favorite stints ever. We started at Kids Cafe, which, given next week is a short school week, did not (as I expected) take up the whole three hours. From there, we worked on making take home bags for school children for the long weekend. For about 1.5 hours, we were in constant, assembly line motion. I knew we were getting a lot done, given how many cases of individual cereal boxes I was clearing through, but I didn't realize until the end that we made 485 bags. I don't know whether to be impressed with the effort, or depressed that that many children will need take home food because school isn't in session and they don't have a reliable meal otherwise. A little bit of both, I suppose.

Afterwards, we hit Biddy Mulligans for a huge lunch and then it was naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaptime.

Boy, I am sore--today was a better workout than the gym any day. I made mac & cheese, worked on hats (one last night and one tonight makes 42, with 43 just now cast on), and took a long soak in a hot bath. I am going to sleep like a ROCK tonight.
