Since we had already taken a big trip this spring .....we go small. Tacoma had gardens we had not seen and we always just breeze through town on our way to various ferries. Saturday morning we drive to Federal Way and take in the Species Rhodie garden and the Pacific Bonsai Museum. Very lovely both of them. The bonsai is free, too!

Monday, May 7th is our actual anniversary. We start with the hot tub, breakfast in the cabin and pack a picnic lunch for later. We head off to Volcano park where we hike the Sulfur banks trail and the 'Illiahi trail. Many of the longer trails are closed because Pele is having things to say this week. Our 25th wedding anniversary. We get the son snug to the neighbor's for the night so we don't have to worry about teenage mayhem. I got part of Monday off to drive to coast. Arrived before dinner time to Depoe bay. Found the best B and B, I could have hoped for with excellent decor and good location for next day's whale watching tour ( Read more... )
