So... I did not have a good spring ... I had some medical issues and dropped my last St. Thom course for my alternative certification program. I also procrastinated taking the state certification exams. So... I am behind... I had three tests to take this month... I took the first... 135 questions 5 hours... on Monday ( Read more... )

I am planning a longer update, but for now a note about this summer.  I am taking three summer classes at the University of St. Thomas as part of the ACP program with HISD.  These are Master's level courses so, I am going to be very busy I think ( Read more... )

I got accpeted to the HISD ACP program and go to orientation tonight... the first step to securing a job as a full time teacher!!! I am excited!

So, on Friday after a minor goof on my part, I turned in my application to the HISD Alternative Certification Program (ACP) for their session beginning on April 23rd.  I have already been called for an interview on Thursday!  This is good news.  So, if all goes according to plan...I should be teaching in August.  I applied to get certification in ( Read more... )
