I hope I didn't just ruin my checking account...
I'm taking my sister to see the band The Airborne Toxic Event in concert this Wednesday. They are her favorite band right now, and her birthday was this month, so it's my present to her.
I deposited money into the bank today, and they told me the money would be available at midnight. So, at 12:30 a.m., I went onto the Ticketmaster website to order the tickets, requesting they be held at will-call. I got a confirmation number, and everything seemed fine.
Until I decided to call the phone number on my debit card. If I'm understanding it correctly, it sounds like I am now overdrawn!
But I deposited plenty of money to cover the tickets, and the guy at the bank said the money would be available at midnight!
I don't know what to do or think right now. Do I really have the tickets? Is my checking account all fucked up now?
I will have to go to the bank tomorrow to see what the hell is going on. If I am overdrawn, I am going to fight it, because they told me the money would be available at midnight, and I remember which teller told me that.
