12 weeks...

...and you guys, SO CUTE!
She eats her fist, with loud lipsmacking noises.
She follows the camera with her eyes when we take pictures.
She pushes herself up with her arms when lying on her front. She also lifts both her legs in the air so she balances on her tummy (kid, you are not going to crawl that way!). Sometimes she pushes up more with her right arm than her left, which results in her rolling onto her back, and looking surprised!
She smiles at me when other people hold her.
My favourite thing she does now is the cooing. She started this at about 9 weeks and has been doing it more and more. She looks at me intently and says 'aaaaoh' or something similarly profound, and OMG, ded of teh cute. It's funny watching her try to put everything together to make the sound she wants: shape lips, breathe out - no - oh yeah, gotta vocalise as well: 'ahhhh' - no, not the right sound, shape lips again: 'ehh' - hang on, do I breathe out or in? etc.
Instead of falling asleep after every feed, she will detach herself, look up at me with a big smile, and start 'talking' to me. Social interaction, we has it!
I'm loving watching her work things out. Also, we seem to have breastfeeding really worked out now - she can attach herself, in the dark, so I don't have to turn the light on at 3am. We can feed with her sitting astride/kneeling on on of my legs, upright, which is better for the reflux (and also impressed the girls at mothers group!) We can also feed lying down - yay! - which is great for morning sleep-ins. Can't do it for too long though as she needs some upright time to keep the milk down. We still have problems with the reflux causing inconsolable crying for a period, but haven't had any full days of crying for ages (knock wood). Looking back, it's amazing how much better it's got over the weeks; what I now define as a bad day would have been good in the early days, so it will presumably keep getting better :D
Gotta change her nappy now (into one of the adorable MCNs I bought at the baby expo *glee*)...
