Admin-ing aloud

The "esoteric calendrical considerations", of course, being that if you take October 31 as axiomatic, 52 days between issues will give you the third issue just before Christmas (December 22) and the fourth just before Saint Valentine's (February 12), and 52 days before Halloween is September 9. After that... well, six months is a long time. XD

I don't think I'll write anything for Halloween other than the cover story, as I have other stuff on my plate (like oh I don't know THAT SCHWARZ FIC). OTOH I have an idea for December I'd very much like to write. Note to self: find another awesome artist to sell self to for December. I've also been canvassing RL friends, but thus far should probably remain mum on the results. XD On top of the rest there's a drabble or two I'd like to get out, optimally before I leave for Europe. It's funny what people request in memes out of everything I've read/watched/liked: Death Note but never Gundam Seed, Viewfinder but never Love Mode. I'm not saying I want to write Gundam Seed but it does mean I overstock my mental warehouse in bunnies for certain series. I finally watched Yukikaze ep.5 yesterday and actually managed to understand most of the dialogue (then I read insaneneko's recap to be sure). It ties up neatly at the end, by which I mean it's left open, except not, and probably the gayest thing since GetBackers in that oh-right-not-technically-canon-gay way. Also the sheer terror/beauty of that last battle etc. I don't watch many series that make me feel I'm missing out if I don't see it again in DVD quality, but Yukikaze is one. I kind of want to read this book as well, although best I can figure it's something of a cross between Tom Clancy and Orson Scott Card. I mean, I can't decide if that's palatable or not. XD

What I meant to say is that there's actually a fragment of a story I want to write about Jack, where I know how it begins but not where he/it's trying to go. It's really more about my own idea-association path beginning with Yukikaze. Then again isn't that always the case?

P.S. I found the original image for the icon on my hard drive at work. As you can see it is a singing gerbil, one of the first to turn up if you search Google Image for "gerbil", but I have no memory of what that was all about.

yukikaze, ssbb
