I took this photo today during Jon Morgan's violin lesson, as he practiced Danse Bacchanale, from Samson et Dalila. I like the way he was silhouetted against the translucent curtain, with the late afternoon sun illuminating the writing and music notes on the window pane.

Listen to this. My son was one of twelve George Washington Middle School orchestra students who busked outside the Sugar Shack on Sunday for donations. The kids were raising money for orchestra expenses, especially for an orchestra trip to Boston this spring. Of the twelve students, only two were brave enough to play Danse Bacchanale in public. This evening I took some photos of my two guys playing their violins together. Jon Morgan is rapidly improving on the violin.
