It was fabulous. I went camping near Vancouver, at a big amazing DIY punk-ish queer gathering. In the woods. With lots of queers. And did I mention all the amazing queers and how it was in the pretty pretty forest? With lots of naked butch women and dance parties? It was fairly epic, except for that part where I had strep throat. Still, best birthday I had in years.
My birthday's are notoriously bad. All of my friend's ditched me for my 21st, and I worked an overnight shift at a gas station for my first 8 hours of being 20. I don't even remember turning 19.
And hey, on the upside, it's an international festival. And it's going to be in Rome next year. Which is rather closer to you than me. *cough cough GO TO IT cough*

I think my WORST birthday was my tenth. I was sick nine times. Generally they're low key - not bad, but not especially memorable. This one's supposed to be a big deal, but I don't have the energy to make a thing of it, to be honest.
