The one where Danielle complains about not having a job
It's 2:12 in the afternoon. How the hell did that happen? They day just passes by, each day ends and I'm still unemployed. If I am going to fritter away my life I would rather fritter it away at a job where I get paid. I'm still in my PJs.
Andreas claims that the Chilean soldiers look like Nazis (btw, he began talking to me on ICQ right after the last sentence was written. That's were this leap in logic comes from). He's German, so I'm taking his word for it:
There you go, authentic looking Nazis at Pinochet's funeral. Apparently there are people in Chile who actual like Pinochet, like Andreas' landlady. She claims that under a bloody dictator the world was in order while now people sell drugs. Ah, the choices we make for freedom.
Notice how nobody ever touts the upside to the Soviet Union. While the Soviet Union was an oppressive, overbearing, soul-sucking power, at least the Albanians and Serbs weren't killing each other. after all, the conflict in Kosovo began after the SU's demise.
Of course both regime's tactics of order included killing dissidents. That's one way to get things done.
Now it is 2:28 p.m. Oprah comes on at four. I guess that gives me a reason not to take a nap.
