There are a few books I still wish to read about the Rwandan genocide, including Philip Gourevitch's
We wish to inform you that tomorrow we will be killed with our families, plus several films I have yet to see including
Hotel Rwanda,
Shake Hands with the Devil and
Shooting Dogs. I do however recommend highly Gil Courtemanche's
A Sunday at the Pool in Kigali which I found to be
a stunning read, plus the French-Canadian
film which didn't quite do the book justice.
Cambodia, meanwhile, has taken at least twice as long to get anywhere at all, now with its own genocide trials delayed further
until at least next year.
