found a great web site http://www.writers-circle.com that is basically a web community of writers that all post their stuff in hopes of getting some kind of exposure. the site is just starting up so there isn't a lot of stuff posted yet but they have a monthly contest as well as weekly ( Read more... ) -

as of yesterday chea and i have gotten in three rides in this unseasonably warm winter. yesterday we finally got up to the trail in marne. rode all the way up to ravenna and back which proved surprisingly difficult considering the shape i'm in. the worst part was that the trail is basically flat so there really should have been no reason for me ( Read more... ) -

The tree outside my window sways with the breeze. The small red berries cling tightly to the slender branches. Not your typical candy apple red but a deep dark, almost blood red. They are a beautiful contrast to the near black bark of the tree. It is planted in a small square in the pavement next to a fire hydrant. The leaves this tree dropped ( Read more... ) -

email is a godsend
accidentally overslept today. ever happen to you? yeah...well it happened to me. i had woken up at my usual 7am to my new favorite song Mad World by Gary Jules (from the Donnie Darko soundtrack, but I'm POSITIVE it is on another one cause i've never seen that movie). decided at about 7:01 that didn't really want to go to my first class. i had ( Read more... ) -
being poor sucks
another week goes by and i still haven't gotten a paycheck at blockbuster. obviously that means that this friday i'll finally get paid but friday just won't get here fast enough. i've resorted to eating one meal a day, which sounds awful, but once you get used to it, its kinda nice. i spend a hell of a lot less time stuffing my face throughout ( Read more... ) -
back to the blockbuster
started working at blockbuster again yesterday. pretty easy day which was nice but i really didn't have much trouble getting back up on that horse. worked from 10-6 so i missed out on a ride with chea and SHC but i think making money outweighs biking in the freezing cold. came back to the apartment to find jay playing some star wars video game ( Read more... ) -
