2 man peleton
as of yesterday chea and i have gotten in three rides in this unseasonably warm winter. yesterday we finally got up to the trail in marne. rode all the way up to ravenna and back which proved surprisingly difficult considering the shape i'm in. the worst part was that the trail is basically flat so there really should have been no reason for me to be hurting so badly. we only rode 24 miles.
on the way back to marne we came across a guy and his dogsled team gearing up for a training run through the cornfields. he had six or seven dogs all strapped up to this wheeled sled and had two real sleds in the back of his truck. the dogs were beautiful. those piercing blue eyes of a husky are just wild. and the dogs were absolutely ripped. massive dogs that could have ripped both chea and i apart with very little effort.
going up to the UP to see ellie and do some skiing at searchmont this weekend. its kind of weird though, cause it doesn't feel like there should be any snow anywhere. but apperently there is a large quantity of snow in the UP that has already made for some excellent skiing. should be a lot of fun and make a lot more sense than biking in feb. stop,
