Lots to tell all ya!
On Tuesday Alex had to have laser surgery on her eyes. There was some scar tissue growing on her retinas because of the oxygen she's been getting. This is normal in premature babies. they zapped her eyeballs and she may lose some of her prerifrial vision or just have to wear glasses. If they didn't do the procedure, she would have gone blind.
On a much happier note, she's finally hit 2 pounds! Friday was 2 pounds and today she's at 2 pounds 2 ounces. They reduce the settings on her vent almost every day, and she's officially 2 months old. We got new hand prints so we can really see how much she's grown.
Julie and I got to hold her this weekend! It was absolutely amazing! We're still on a "baby high" from it.
