Another day another journal entry :)

This afternoon I took the kids (our four plus our nephews Corey and Chad) with Aunty joolliee and Uncle Chris to Fleay's Wildlife Park. A good part of the park is closed for upgrading at the moment so it was fortunate that we only left home after lunch time and hadn't planned to spend the whole day there. We saw wallabies, kangaroos, crocodiles, emus, wombats, cassowaries and hopping mice, platypuses and a few other animals in the nocturnal house. It must be breeding season for emus and cassowaries as we saw one male cassowaries showing threatening behaviour to another through a fence and a grunting emu followed us along the boardwalk (on the other side of a fence). The assortment of kangaroos and wallabies were cute (as usual) but due to the upgrading there was not an area where you could walk through and feed them. Chris is fascinated by platypuses and as such the platypus feeding had to be seen, I missed out on it however, as I had to leave to pick David up from work.

Corey and Chad are staying overnight again and Peter came this morning to stay overnight also - so having thought we had a full house last night we now have a full house plus one. I think we have some blow up mattresses somewhere...

We are setting out to the beach now for dinner and for the kids to play around and expel as much energy as possible before an early night and the Museum tomorrow.
