I just spent half an hour scrubbing our dining table clean of paint, glue and glitter, last month the mere sight of all that mess would've had me spontaneously reduced into a crying, quivering mess. This evening as I scrubbed and scraped and cleaned I was glad to do it, it reminded me of yet another great day with the kids and all the beautiful artworks they (especially Rhiannan) had created throughout the day. The cleaning brought a smile to my face.
Yesterday after the Gallery visit we saw plaster casts for children to paint in the Gallery Shop and Rhiannan wanted to buy one of them - I stalled her because I know we can buy them cheaper in a craft shop. So we went into Bunnings only to find they didn't stock them; instead we left with papier mache boxes and wooden letters to decorate today.
Liam and Rhiannan started decorating theirs last night and completed them today as did
joolliee, Sarah's and mine are still untouched, I think I'll leave mine until schol goes back and decorate in peace ;) Whilst the others were decorating boxes I was working on a miniature scrap/brag book for my dear friend Tracy, now that I've got my head together I hope to finish it soon rather than later, instead of just thinking about it and imaginging what it would turn out like.
Sarah has let us know that she wants to work in Child Care and I have arranged some work experience with the school's Vacation Care Service. We're unsure as to what we are going to do about her schooling at this stage, whether she will leave or transfer to a closer school, etc. I think she should be encouraged to stay, she has been studying business and anything she can pick up there should help her later in a child care career.
