all i have to show

I didn't get any work done on any wip's or really any serious art.  I was preoccupied with this monster Rape of the Lock essay for one, and also I was busy researching Greek myth.  Not that I wasn't already doing that in my Mythology class but I've decided to draw all of the olympians (and other important gods) in my own style.
So I've been spending my free time researching and sketching and I've come up with a few preliminary designs. Hermes, Hephaestus, and Ares aren't featured because I'm least satisfied with my initial attempt at them.
I'm seriously considering sketching out some quick comics about some of their antics.  They really are very silly.
Without further ado,

I've got the big three, Zues, Poseidon, and Hades, shown as they were during the Titanomachy when they first came into power, and during the Gigantomachy, which was kind of the plot of Disney's Hercules (only Hades was a good guy and the Giants were bad- Hercules still saved the day) I also drew Hades wearing his awesome Helm of Darkness.  Because it's awesome. No other reason.
My favorite's are Athena and Eros (whose hair has taken on a delightful shade of pink.
Like I said, these are only my first attempt.  I still need to add ornaments and stuff.
I'm shocked that all these Greek stories and poems don't have more of a following.  I mean, sex everywhere, m/m, m/f, (not sure if there's much f/f) But once you get past all the gods being related...and still wanting to bugger each other... it's loads of fun!
I'm ranting now so I'm gonna stop. Does anyone have a favorite Greek myth?
