A short summary of a long weekend.

Yesterday, I briefly visited with machi_neko and a mutual friend. We talked of "Edward Scissors Hands Part II" -- erm, Sweeney Toddy, You Tube, LOLcats, and various topics of interest. Joy, costume-making tips, and chicken salad sandwiches were shared by all.

I drove back with a car covered in snow to be greeted with a house busily filling with sixteen family members and a small, crazy dog that spent most of the visit closed off in the office. We celebrated the "12th" night of Chanukkah, that is, the only day the entire family could meet up together to eats latkes. I received a nice amount of loot (i.e. gifts), but I get the feeling I ought to start writing down a wish list. It's sort of difficult for people to figure out what to buy me in the first place, but my age group doesn't make it any easier. The small, crazy dog made another appearance, and I was asked to babysit him when my cousin and her fiancé go on a trip during Christmas. After the festivities were over, I was completely exhausted and the fridge was stuffed with leftover potato pancakes.

Today was my return to work at the Mexican grille. Even in this weather, the work was considerable; I had seriously forgotten how tiring it is to work there. It's rewarding, sometimes, oddly, but it gets stressful running back and forth between the dining area, the kitchen, the bathrooms, and the cash register. On the plus side, who can argue with free quesadillas?

In closing, the weather is awful outside. If you have the choice, I suggest staying indoors at all costs.
