M2M: Moving out

Once I go to München, we shall be selling our quite lovely but frankly by now too small for us apartment. This place has been the first longer-term place we've lived together - before going here, we'd both moved almost every year for several years, Mickey actually 15 times in 8 years. This place has been a stable frame of reference for some years of unexpected ups and downs. It's been the home base for Mickey's career as a linguist and mine as a commercial/art photographer, both of which currently have dubious futures, but you never know. It has seen Mickey's interest in fiberwork and design grow and blossom, but alas also our interest in gardening has not met with success here.

It has, above all, been our first real home, the first place we could rearrange and decorate to our heart's content, and as such has taught us much about what we need in a home (in short: workshop space!). It has also been the nicest place we've lived, in the sense of being modern and pretty and practical and having granite countertops. We will be sad to let it go, but it has served its purpose and run its time. Hopefully, the sale profits can give a little seed start towards our dream home in the long term.

Oh, and if somebody's interested in a very nice 80m^2 apartment, speak up now before I sign up with a real estate agent that adds another 50K to the price.
