THE CHARACTER
Character's name: Nudge
Journal: percepts
Series: The Maximum Ride Series
Canon Point: Book 6: Fang. The morning after their birthday party.
Loss: Knowledge/memory of her real name and everything she ever found out about her bio-parents. She thinks that she is a test tube baby, which was what they all thought before finding out that they had actual, human parents. The desire to find parents is what pushes Nudge in the early part of the series; she even breaks away, and defies Fang (which she almost NEVER does; Nudge is the ultimate team-player and soldier) on the chance that she could meet/see her bio-mom. She loves being a birdkid, but she also wants to be normal so bad it hurts. So... thinking that she is an experiment? Cuts deep.
Species/Race: Recombinant life form; 98% human, 2% bird. (It's common belief that Nudge's 2% comes to her a la ferruginous hawk.)
Morality: The ultimate do-gooder. She's brave (not to the point of total recklessness), she stands up for what she believes in, and she would never want to see innocent people hurt. So yes, she would jump into a fight if she believed she could help save someone, and she would retaliate on behalf of her friends. She draws the line at killing, though, especially when it comes to human beings. (To make her want to kill you, you have to be something from the School; an Eraser, a Flyboy, or some other kind of evil mutant who wants to kill her. But she definitely doesn't take death lightly, especially after Ari.)
Involvement: Hmm. Tough to say. She'd definitely be interested in the large-scale stuff, but depending on what it is, she'd hang back and let the higher ups take care of it. But if she saw a robbery in progress, or someone being bullied, then yeah, she would try to help. She looks up to Max the most, after all, and that's definitely what Max would do.
"I" in TEAM: ULTIMATE TEAM PLAYER. She works best within the Flock, of course, where they have their own secret codes and secret language and rhythm and whatnot, but if she had to, she'd definitely work with others for the greater good. She COULD operate by herself if need be, but... yeah, she's definitely a team player.
Abilities/Powers: Here you go.

* Please include Power Survey
NON-SUPERPOWER CAPABILITIES
1. Hand to Hand Fighting: She was trained in street-fighting by Jeb, and she's been in lots of fights, with humans, other recombinants, and robots.
Powered: 4/5
Unpowered: 3/5

2. Short Range Weapons: She's had no real training with them, but she knows how to use her environment in a fight.
Powered: 3/5
Unpowered: 3/5

3. Long Range Weapons: Ditto.
Powered: 2/5
Unpowered: 2/5

4. Pain Tolerance: Depressingly high for a 12-year-old, I know, but she was made, and grew up in a lab. :(
Powered: 8/10
Unpowered: 6/10

5. Stamina: She was ~made to last~.
Powered: 7/10
Unpowered: 4/10

6: Medical Capabilities: Very basic first aid.
Powered: 1/5
Unpowered: 1/5

Weaknesses: Hm. I guess her two greatest phobias would count here. First, claustrophobia. She grew up in a dog crate; small, cramped spaces bring back terrifying memories for her. She can handle it, but if you were to lock her in a tiny enough space, she might have a breakdown. And rats. She pretty much freezes completely around rats. In addition, though she's a lot stronger and more durable than humans, she can be both injured and killed in most conventional ways.

(Semi-optional): A MUST FOR POWERED CHARACTERS - Please state conditions necessary to:
CAUSE DEATH: Most things that can kill a human. She's much more durable than a human, though.
INCAPACITATE: Most things that can incapacitate a human. Again, durability.
Death: Killing, no. Under special circumstances, maybe. Injuring, yes. Bruises, minor burns, some broken stuff. Everything should, of course, be discussed with me first, please.
OTHER: N/a. In a fight, she uses her strength, and her environment.
Headcanon: No, she just got here, so no significant headcanon yet. You can see this, though, for some notes on how I play her.
