Today is working itself out into being a rather manic Plan marathon.
Log:
1:00 am- I've written 500 words over the course of four hours. Plan is hiding somewhere under a rock. I ask for divine intervention and get the Plan Squid. Divine, indeed. Time to sleep.
7:00 am- Dear God, is that the alarm?
9:00 am- Allison, how about I skip both class and tutorial to write more Plan? Yes, more.
11:00 am- Two cups of coffee, divine intervention, and a few rounds of hurling Plan Squid against the wall later, I have written 500 more words.
11:30 am- Dance Class. We learned the Snake Dance from Africa, which involves begging the Gods for Mercy, pretending to be a snake, and writhing around on the ground.
We also learned dance moves which are supposed to evoke stabbing creatures with your spear. And then we writhed some more. And did relaxation excercises. OH, and screamed at the top of our lungs while spinning in circles and waving our arms wildly.
I told Dana she had concocted the PERFECT dance class for PLAN. If you see me writhing on the floor of the science building, you know why. Feel free to join in.
(slightly edited) Quote of the Day #1: "Now, we will writhe around in a state of altered consciousness. We will do that for eight beats . . . "
3:30 pm- A cup of tea, more Squid-Hurling, and lots of manic giggling later, I have written 500 more words. Just a few paragraphs before I reach my goal. John and the tour find me in the middle of an insanity break. More squid hurling. More manic giggling. Sorry, tour . . .
3:50 pm- I begin editing paper slightly. Find Quote of the Day #2, written at 1:00 am today. Verbatim: "It is not very mobile in the soil, and will not leach into the groundwater, as it is not mobile in the soil." Aren't I witty? Resolved: to get some sleep. Eventually.
