I hate slugs. Slugs must not like me either for they're decimating the buttercrunch head lettuce in my beds. The lettuce in containers are doing very well. I may just stick with containers for salads from now on. In the meantime, I pull out between 6-12 slugs a day out from the beds. They're all baby slugs, except for the one adolescent I pulled out Wednesday night.

I spotted one lady beetle Wednesday morning in the Wonder Light tomato. I haven't seen it since. Bummer. There are a number of little bugs on that plant.

I lost my 3rd cantaloupe seedling. I have #4 still in a bed. I hope it survives. I do wonder if I should start another seed in a jiffy pellet and transplant. I was hoping direct sowing would work out.

I think I still need more flowers. The zinnia's I picked up from Lowe's are flowering, but I only got 1 pot then separated the 2 plants into separate pots. I'm feeling very space frugal. I wanted to put together another earthbox for mesclun mix, but I have no idea where to put it. I also currently don't know where to plant:
(1) Wonder Light Tomato
(2) Yellow Pear Tomato
(1) Cherokee Purple Tomato
(1) Roma Tomato (determinate)
(1) Anaheim Chile Pepper
(4) Bachelor's Buttons

Current plans:
(1) Wonder Light Tomato going upside
Add eggshell and more potting mix to Mountain Princess
Add more potting mix to various pots
Add more soil to potato containers (need to purchase)
Add more potting mix and strawberry plants to hanging planter
Coffee plants to: green 8" pots and seeding tray when empty

Hmm, maybe when the lettuce is harvested, that could free up space for:
(1) Cherokee Purple Tomato (raised bed)
(2) Bachelor Buttons (8" container)
(1) Yellow Pear Tomato (raised bed)
(1) Anaheim Chile Pepper (10" container)

When the broccoli is done, plant:
Bush Beans
Soy Beans

Artichokes(?), plant corn seeds.

Well, I still have no idea where to plant my squash and zuchini. Will this be the first year I won't grow them? And where to plant a 2nd determinate tomato (roma)?

The Mountain Princess seems to average between 3-6 flowers in a cluster. I counted 20 clusters tonight. Since this is a determinate tomato plant, after it fruits, is that it? This is my first time growing a determinate.
