American holidays in other countries are always hard. Even though I've only had experience being in Japan when there are American holidays, I imagine it is hard for other ex-pats, too.

I went to graduation with Mom, Addie and Elana. XD It was a pretty hilarious time because I got to sit with Lindsey and the mike went out of service and half an hour later when they got it to work it started playing Ke$ha. "Welcome graduates. I spent the day actually being productive! It's rather exciting, actually. I spent the night at Sky's house and Cora (her kitten) alternated between sleeping on my shoulder, sleeping on my right hip....and purring loudly in my face/tickling my face with her whiskers. So tonight we found our second and larger fake tree, so we spent the evening putting that up! ^___^ I don't care if it isn't December yet!
