First, the general update: taking this new job was the best decision I have made in ages. I was aware on some level that work caused me a lot of stress, but it's one thing to know that and another to have a weight lifted from your mind and realize it's been hanging over you for years.

This is a dark and very convincing take on Shara and Vinya's relationship pre-canon.
I also wrote two fics in very different fandoms. Guy Gabriel Kay's and Megan Whalen Turner's prose styles are about as different as you can get, and it was fun to attempt both at the same time.
