Life updates, briefly
- In November, I was approached by a former supervisor from my current job with an invitation to apply at his company.
- I did that, while being open about it with my current supervisor, because we have a great relationship and I wanted to be sure I'd explored my options at the place that has been awfully good to me for the last six years.
- Just noting that the holidays are a terrible time to initiate major life transitions.
- Got the job, decided I wanted it, and my last day was Friday of last week. I worked late every day that week because I wanted to get everything done and couldn't pull my head out of it, which is somewhat representative of the job as a whole.
- New job starts Monday. I am so excited.
- Making good progress on my novella this week. I love that sense of momentum.
- Last but definitely not least, I am in New York for a couple of days, and I HAVE HAMILTON TICKETS FOR TONIGHT.
