59. Book of Shadows, Cate Tiernan
This is the first book in the Wicca (or Sweep in America) series. I first discovered this series back in high school and fell in love with it then - as did quite a few of my friends. Me and Jaime had quite the library ring going, lol. I would buy the Wicca books and Jai would buy the SVH:Senior Year books and then after we'd read them they all made their way round the group of girls. Anyway, the series still keeps me entertained. The characters are great, although Morgan does occassionally get on my nerves a bit. Very interesting some of the ideas that are raised though since Morgan comes from a Catholic family but has discovered that she's a blood witch. It's interesting watching her try to reconcile these two sides during the series.
60. The Coven (Wicca #2), Cate Tiernan
61. Blood Witch (Wicca #3), Cate Tiernan
62. Dark Magic (Wicca #4), Cate Tiernan
63. Awakening (Wicca #5), Cate Tiernan
My favourite book in the whole series. There's just so much unresolved sexual tension between Morgan and Hunter. Plus we get to see Hunter's Book of Shadows entries in this one as well. I've read this book a heap of times but Hunter's entries about Morgan still have the ability to make my heart pound for him.
64. Spellbound (Wicca #6), Cate Tiernan
My other favourite from the series. Morgan and Hunter are slowly feeling their way towards being together only to have Cal (Morgan's ex and Hunter's half-brother) come back. The love triangle is great and Hunter's jealousy is totally FTW :D
65. Twitterature, Alexander Aciman and Emmett Rensin
This book made me laugh so hard. The subtitle is: The World's Greatest Books Re-told through Twitter, and that is exactly what it does. They re-tell sixty of the world's classic novels as if the characters had been posting on twitter during their stories. Just hilarious. Plus the two guys that wrote it are nineteen year old students from the University of Chicago. All I'm left thinking is: now, why didn't I come up with this idea? :)
66. The Calling (Wicca #7), Cate Tiernan
67. Changeling (Wicca #8), Cate Tiernan
68. Strife (Wicca #9), Cate Tiernan
69. Seeker (Wicca #10) Cate Tiernan
70. Dracula, Bram Stoker
This was brilliant. Absolutely fantastic. Best vampire novel I've read (which I suppose is a good thing since it really is the father of all vampire novels). There's so much suspense that I was constantly wondering what was going to happen next. There are a few different points of view that it's written from (Jonathan Harker, Mina Harker and Dr Seward are the main ones that immediately come to mind) but Stoker does such a wonderful job of making each character's voice and style of writing in their diaries sound so different to each other. Loved it and definitely one I'll read again.
71. Origins (Wicca #11), Cate Tiernan
72. Eclipse (Wicca #12), Cate Tiernan
73. Reckoning (Wicca #13), Cate Tiernan
74. Full Circle (Wicca #14), Cate Tiernan
75. Night's Child (Wicca #15), Cate Tiernan
And there we go. So in 2009 I finished 75 books. Whoa. So my aim for 2010 is to read 80. That might be a bit of a challenge.
