Good grief, i havent updated in quite awhile. I'm sure youre all just dying to know all the super fantastic stuff thats been going on in my life. hahaha.
well kinda cool, President Bush is going to be here tonight, and me without a ticket. sucks i know. i was even more sad when i heard chuck norris was gonna be there. WALKER TEXAS RANGER! damn the man. i feel like such a lame ass for not going. oh well. im here at work right now, and its so funny the secret service is like down the hall making sure everything will be set up right. pretty cool stuff.
i have been so damn busy with school and student foundation stuff. i mean, id rather be busy then feel like im doing nothing, but sometimes it starts to get a bit overwhelming. the weekend before last we had panhellenic open house where we got to go to all the sorority houses and meet the girls. some of the sorority songs are still stuck in my head. haha. it was pretty fun, but a little scary since theres like a ton of sophomores rushing next semester which means its gonna be pretty cut throat to try to get into one of the houses. im really excited about it, but nervous at the same time. it did help me get to know a lot of the girls in the sororities. I feel a lot more comfortable around them when i see them, and i actually hang out with some of them every now and then. good times.
ive been keeping up with all my celebration of lights stuff. its been fun working with the craniofacial foundation people. they are really nice, and hopefully all of our plans go over well. all this student foundation involvement actually made me want to be more involved next year so i interviewed for homecoming chair 2005 last thursday. i find out on wednesday night if i get it. hopefully they dont just stick me in some other random place like they did for celebration of lights. hahaha.
ive been able to see bits and pieces of the old crew more then usual the past few weeks. its been nice geting to catch up with everyone and see that im not the only one who feels totally bummed about classes and how no one ever really gets to hang out anymore. sad times crew. i got to hang out with jules all day yesterday which was really fun, and i got to chill with my old roommate haley at the halloween party last night. then me and will have been able to get together for lunch and dinner lately and its been so great getting to catch up with him. sometimes i feel like jason doesnt exist anymore since i never see him. i think ive seen him like 10 times this whole semester. its really quite lame actually. i guess it just kinda sucks how everything is this year. i feel like i took everyone for granted last year being able to see them all the time, and now when i do see them its like oh yeah! they are still here at school with me! :(
ive been able to hang out with ben a lot though, which makes me really happy. surprisingly we find a way to finsih all of our homework (well....at least on most nights) and we get to just hang out, or talk, or just sit around and do nothing. its been really great having ben around. hes so awesome to me and we always have the greatest time together. im really glad hes been able to meet more of my friends recently, and hanging out with all of them has been great. good times most definitely. i heart you benster!
so yeah, its homecoming week. get excited. LIVE from the hilltop is on wednesday from 6-8 with Ingram Hill and free food from Tinstar, and i got to help set up from 5-6 for that. many a float building will occur this week too. YAY FOR POMPING! then everyones favorite homecoming parade is on saturday at 11:30, and i got to work that from 10:45-12:30. mmm gotta love SF. hahaha. homecoming was so much fun last year, hopefully it will be this year too.
i was informed earlier today that i was chosen to be a part of the studio crew tomorrow morning for the senior Daily Update show. now, i was totally geeked out because i didnt have to wake up a whole hour early to do this show, but alas, i went over to the board this morning to sign up for the week, and i definitely saw my lovely name in huge letter to do still store with erin. angela=totally pissed. i couldnt believe Lucy put my name on there. She said she was only putting the nonseniors on the board who were at the daily update a lot and were really showing initiative. geez, i practically took a month off from doing the news. sucks. but i guess i should be appreciative about being chosen. i just know that when i walk into the studio tomorrow at 5AM, i wont feel too excited about it. hahaha.
so thats pretty much all ive been up to lately. lots of lame school, working a lot longer hours here in the office, and all my extra curricular stuff. this week/weekend should be lots of fun with all the homecoming stuff planned. sarah said she might try and stop by again this weekend, which im so excited about. i miss you so much sarah! wooo turkey break is almost here! yes, many an old friend will be visited during the break. i cant wait to be back in the CYP with those h-town playas! holla back baby, woo woo!
well im going to kill the last 40 minutes here at work by doing something. is anyone else excited about the cold weather thats gonna be here all week? eeeeee! *does happy dance* i hope youre all having a marvelous monday. those of you getting to go see G Dub, think of me and how i wish i could be there. hahaha. alrighty. have a great week everyone!
