Hi, flist! I'm still alive. More or less. Work-wise, I never know whether to laugh or cry, so let's just skip past that, shall we?
I felt the need to share that today I saw a TTC bus stop featuring an ad for Aaron Douglas's new series, The Bridge. Apparently he's to play the head of the Toronto police union or something? I remember when I first read about it I thought the show sounded like it had potential.
Except that this ad features Aaron Douglas's face surrounded by words like "integrity," "honour," "police," "strength," etc. And all I can think of when I look at him is "but you're a bastard abusive husband/boyfriend, Chief Tyrol!" It's such a strong dissonance with the ad that I feel I cannot watch the new show because of what BSG did to his character. And I felt I should share this. :)
Regardless, I'll probably tune in at some point just because it's always fun to see Toronto get to play itself for a change.
