At any rate, I wrote this one over in the comments of thassalia's journal: Five things Sam Carter would really, really like to tell Vala:
1. I've gotten used to being "the girl." I've never been good at having girlfriends, and I'm not sure I'd know how to be your friend anyway, at least not in the gossipy, chick flick watching sense. But sometimes it's lonely being "the girl," and even if we never understand each other, I'm glad you're here.
2. I, too, have had power over men, though it has had little to do with leather bustiers or physical domination or seduction. But men have loved me; some are dead because of me.
3. Daniel used to be my best friend, but I lost him, somewhere around the time we lost count of how many times we'd saved the world, and how many times we died and didn't, somewhere between that first and second time he ascended. I love him, but I don't know him very well anymore. And I don't understand the relationship that the two of you have, but I'm glad he has you. But I'll still kill you if you hurt him.
4. I know the rules are often restricting and pointless. And I know my government's military often makes bad decisions. But the Air Force taught me how to fly, and most days that's the only thing that keeps me from falling.
5. Everyone thinks it was profit and self-interest that motivated you to continue to play Qetesh after she was gone, and maybe that was a factor. But the symbiote becomes part of you, and I know how hard it is to let go, even when you never wanted it, even when you're so glad to be free.
And I'll take other prompts, 'cause it's fun. Farscape, SG-1, SGA, and to be extra wild and crazy, let's throw in X-Files and The West Wing. Keep in mind that due to my restricted internet access, my response may be somewhat delayed, though no less heartfelt!
And finally, here's one that I'd love to see, if anyone wants to snatch it up: Five things Aeryn doesn't regret, even though she should.
