[After the
complete debacle that was Bowser's Day Out, the esteemed Captain found himself doing damage control--but not at the school. No, Falcon was fighting a media firestorm, running back and forth between Final Destination and Mute City. As such, he has been in and out of his office for the better part of a week--but if you're lucky, you might

What Bowser did hit him a little harder on the inside than what he was willing to even admit to himself. That was how Mac had dealt with all those problems and insecurities. Instead of trying to learn to cope, he let it sit inside himself to only be brought up if he was pushed far enough. It made him feel stupid and weak when he would react in the way he did...And he managed to blow Bowser off in the end, especially in regards to his last comment about life. He had to hear it from the REAL Falcon's mouth, even if he had to spill his guts again. Not that he didn't trust him with it, he's told other people about it too...but it was never a topic he liked to bring up. Where he came from and what he had to to despite the problems Mac had.
Falcon would find a boxer knocking on his office door.]

He did, however, anticipate a lot of visits from those who he was probably a huge dick to. Even though it wasn't him. It was totally his clone, okay.
HE OPENED THE DOOR.]
Hey, Mac.
Reply
[Mac was looking directly at him, Falcon might tell he really is uncomfortable about this from his face.]
...You ain't busy, are you?
Reply
Sure, come on in.
Reply
I'm guessin' if this was a clone of you...you don't remember kickin' me off the team then.
Reply
You're not off the football team. That's ridiculous.
[And rubs the back of his head.]
I don't know who or what he was, to be honest.
Reply
[It was.]
[Mac fidgeted with his fingers for a moment.] All I know it was someone who obviously just wanted to do a lot of damage.
[And he did.]
...
[Someone's having a hard time with this. It's obvious he's got more to say, and want to say more. But he's going to need a little bit more pushing. It was harder to spill this time around than usual. And Mac has a hard time spilling.]

Did he hurt you?
Reply
Not like that, y'know...
He mainly just...Said stuff.
Stuff that I admit hit a little closer to home, if you know what I mean.
[...Yes, Falcon. This was very very very VERY hard.]

You don't have to tell me what he said if you don't want to.
Just know that absolutely none of it is true.
Reply
Well, he made me feel like I was a huge joke, sir.
Reply
You're not a joke, Mac. You're one of the most hardworking people I know.
Reply
...Thanks, sir.
[He was reminded why he liked the Captain to begin with.]
I dunno, maybe I shouldn't have gotten as mad as I did. The guy tried really hard to tick me off. And he did. I even told him he didn't know anything about me, stuff like that. How hard I work to do anythin' I did. I didn't understand what he was sayin' cuz I know you told me personally to try out for the team. He said he wanted to cut shorter guys off the team and I wasn't pullin' my weight.

[And speaking of thinking things are real.]
You don't follow racing news, do you?
Reply
[Suddenly sudden, coach.]
Reply
[A pause. This is hard for him, too.]
There's just...a lot of nasty stuff circulating about me right now because of this.
