I am way too awake for a Saturday. Especially after getting about 5 hours of sleep or so. Happy St Pats Day too. Make corned beef and cabbage for dinner.
THis weekend is a busy one for sure. Moving more stuff into my new place this afternoon, before swinging by the chuch to say hi during the green pancake supper, and then going to Headliners for the third time in 7 days for Take Action Tour. THen tomorrow I'm skipping out on service to meet my folks and Kevin to get the rest of my stuff moved over. Weird to think that this morning was probably the last breakfast I'll prep at Westmar Ct...after just about 2 1/2 years there. Its sad really.
Monday after work, i went home to prep my cakes for class. THat took till about 9:30-10ish...because i got home later than i planned. But that was the rest of my Monday...nothing too out of the ordinary. I can't wait to finally be in a real high quality kitchen with all the counter space and proper equipment...read about the prepping of the cakes here.
Tuesday was a fine day at work...came home made dinner and got one cake frosted before i had to get over to Backstage for my hair appt. See, it was about 70 degrees outside Monday AND Tuesday...which i thoroughly appreciated. However, it does NOTHING for frosting consistency. As my wife can attest to, I spent a good amount of the night yelling at a 6-inch double layer cake for not being cooperative. Again, read about it here.
Busy at work Wednesday and straight from work, i went over to my final cake class. about two hours, a TON of airbrush ink, and one wedding cake later, i was on my way to the mall to meet up with Tyler for a trip into express for men because he wanted shirts. After that, went to eat at Aladdins, which was a change from my normal trips there...because we actually sat at a table. Ate and chatted till about 10:15. Unloaded all my stuff from class, then realized in my hurry to get out the door to make it to the mall on time, i left my bog of supplies at the shoppe. Actually, i didn't really realize it fully until about 3am, when i woke up to pee...then stayed up till around 4am fretting about whether or not they would still have my bag there. ugh.
Thursday was work...long day again with lots of projects to do...got home, and by the time i had cleaned up and settled in, Tyler had arrived to watch movies and hang out. In a rare move, I didn't even eat dinner that night. I was disappointed in myself. But oh well, nothing that a PB&J at 11:30 couldn't cure :)
Friday was spent doing projects for ad agencys, fixing spots from the rest of the week, and blogging like an UBER NERD.
Went to the banque, then home for dinner. Tyler (holy crap three days in a row) came by and then we headed off to the Lamb of God show at Headliners. Now normally at Headliners shows, i'm just slightly smaller than many of the people there....not so last night. the room was PACKED with GIGANTIC dudes ready to start their version of circle pits. MachineHead was just starting when we got there, so of course, i HAD to call Jess for a speakerphone present for Rob's birthday...i'm so nice. Also gave my cousin a call during LOG...which was effin amazing. They talked about Burn the Priest, JCs coming stop, and ended the show with Black Label. I couldn't see the whole time, just because of the pure size of everyone that seemed to be in front of me wherever i went...but from what I DID get to see, was super cool. the lights were dim and light colored...so they really highlighted the hulking presence of the band itself on stage. Vox were on target...and it sounded fantastic...which is a welcome change from the normal run of toledo concerts. BUt they ended before 11:30 and we were back home before midnight!
Got a couple things together for today, then went to bed.
Up at 6:30 to workout, etc...and the wife got up around 8:45...which was nice because i told her about my plans to move on Sunday and it sounds like she's found a cute place too! After work this afternoon, I'm going to look into a couple pieces of furniture, do one more load of laundry, take some more odds & ends to the new apartment and then probably get to church to see the folks there for a bit...i actually have to talk to charlotte about her granddaughters baby shower cake that I've decided to take on....and then head up to Headliners again tonight for Take Action Tour. totally looking forward to Emery.
and seeing my folks and Kevin tomorrow. more on Monday kids....just one more hour of work left, and I have more blogging to do.
