finishing task after task in good time and in great fashion.
So after work on Saturday, i picked up a couple more extra taxxx forms at the library, got the means necessary to do laundry, and went to Cake Arts for frosting rations. From Cake Arts, back home to organize, relocate, and organize again for a couple hours...by the time i home back to the apartment around 5:30, i was sweating and exhausted...but the place still needed to be scrubbed down and vauccumed. So as I did on the day i moved in in 2004, i cleaned in my underpants.
Took another shower, made taters and 'kraut for dinner, then got ready to go back out on the road to work St. Practice Day. It was quite possibly the fastest 3.5 hours of work I have ever done in my life. Non stop at the beer ticket table, as i expected. but everyone was in great spirits and the crowd was 10 times larger than I thought it would be. Everyone seemed to be having a blast...and the people i was working with from the Red Cross were really nice.
Got home around midnight, ate some yogurt, then watched a bit of the Drew Barrymore SNL to send me to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzztown.
Up and at em Sunday morning, cake in hand, to church...then krogering...then monettes...PBS was running another weekend of fund drive programming, so I had to wait until about 2pm for the cooking programmes to start. After I was done with my kugel, it was time to start in on baking. I need to bring two double layer cakes to class this week....so i'm glad i started doing this early. Got a couple loads of laundry done as well...and took a small break inbetween batter batches. By the time i was done, it was after 9pm and the kitchen table was and still is covered in cakes. 2 8 inch, 2 6 inch, 2 9 inch and 9 sweet cuppin cakes.
and now i'm spent. Linds is in charge of decorations for monica's shower and I have been enlisted as hired help. I can't wait!!
more to come later on. cold in my studio and i have to go home to torte, fill, stack, and crumb. make frosting too. eeeeee!
