Prompt: Rhys and Eden Roleplay
Characters: Thodin and Ly'hallan
Rating: PG
Summary:  It's pretty self-explanatory.
Notes: Myshuno Prompt #18
Word Count: 421

Thodin, the tall, blond, bulky barbarian, strode into the new rented house he shared with his petite, and equally blond, elven companion, Ly'hallan. Well, he intended to stride, but zoning into the house kind of ruined the effect.

When he finally entered the room he spun around and looked at the décor.

"Someone's been busy," he said to the elf who was kneeling on the couch wearing only a red chemise.

"Oh yeah. A bunch of horny teenaged boys saw that I was a girl and they totally gave me money. I figured I'd spend some of it on furniture and stuff. Swanky new pad means swanky new furniture. How long have you been online?"

"Not too long," he replied. "Wrapped up a quest."

"Did you get Phat Lewt?"

Thodin emoted a laugh. "Only this huge broadsword. You know you wanna see it."

Ly'hallan emoted a giggle. "Yeah, baby, let me see the stats." When she saw them she emoted a shrug. "The one you have equipped is totally better."

"That's what she said."

Ly'hallan emoted another giggle. "So are things quiet on your end?"

"Yes they are. How about on yours?"

"Free and clear. So how do you think this will work?"

"I dunno. I guess /dance and strip off our clothes? And then we 'talk' dirty to each other. It'd be like cyber sex, but, well, with dancing avatars."

"Sounds good." Ly'hallan began to do just that. Her elven dance was surprisingly provocative for a rated "T" game. Add her bits of clothing disappearing one by one and it was quite the strip tease. As the avatar shimmied in front of the barbarian, she asked, "So do you like what you see? Tell me what you'd like to do to me." Thodin remained completely still and silent. "Are you there? Or have you gone AFK?" she asked as she continued to dance semi-clothed in front of the barbarian.

"I'm sorry, Rhys," Thodin said. "I can't stop laughing over the fact that you're playing a female avatar. This just isn't doing it for me."

"Damn. I kinda feel the same way with you playing a dude avatar. Well...so do you want to go grind together in a totally non-sexual way?"

"Sure. Let's compare our quest journals and see what we can do together."

The elven avatar began dressing up in her armor and equipping her weapons. "Sounds good. So long as I get an awesome phone call from you later."

"It's a date," the barbarian warrior emoted with a nod.

(I kind of imagine this being set in the MMORPG world of Everquest 2.  Just thought you'd like to know that.)

Prompt: A Day in the Life of the Dead Realm
Characters: Zane
Rating: PG
Summary: What Zane currently does on the Dead Realm.
Notes: Myshuno Prompt #19
Word Count: 344

Time had halted to a complete standstill for Zane. In the before times (as Zane had unconsciously referred to it) time moved rapidly. When he thought about it, he and Tina had been together for almost fifty years. And all of that had gone by in a flash.

Now Zane Devereaux 'lived' every moment of every day, which was a slow torture. Every second ticked by. What was even worse, seeing as he didn't go onto the Mortal Realm any longer, he didn't need to sleep. Or eat. Or do anything remotely Mortal. One could go insane when each day slowly blended into the other without the mental break of sleeping and dreaming. But Zane, surprisingly, did not. If he would have thought about it, it would have come as a complete shock to him; he honestly thought he was much weaker than he truly was. But he didn't think about it. He tried to think about nothing.

At first, everything in his house reminded him of Tina and it took all of his willpower not to let himself go. That stopped when he had burned everything of hers. If he would have thought about it, he would have noticed that a few of Tina's possessions were missing, most notably the pictures. But he hadn't thought about it. He just mechanically tossed everything into a pile and stoically watched everything turn to ash.

And that's what he did everyday. He watched and said very little. He sat on his couch with a book in his hand. Occasionally he would read the book. He would mechanically check his work email for scheduled pick ups. He filled out his paperwork with concise precision. If Ruth and Jezebel were needed for the pickup, he would inform them of only the details, nothing more.

And then he would sit back on the couch and wait. His thoughts occasionally registered the comings and goings of Ruth, Jezebel, and Remington.

There was no day. There was no night. There was no rest. There was no peace.

There was only existing.

Prompt: Quinn
Characters: Quinn, Rhys, Eden
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Things are uncomfortably awkward after Quinn moves home from college.
Notes: Myshuno Prompt #20
Word Count: 349

Quinn strode into the living room, not even bothering to make any sort of 'advance warning' sound in case his parents were in there doing...things. Much to his surprise, his father wasn't groping on Eden like she was some sort of cheap whore. That's how Quinn viewed it these days. After he saw how Rhys had treated the women in his life, Quinn came to the crushing realization that Eden was just another notch on Rhys Fitzhugh's bedpost.

Well, he hadn't originally thought that, but Bella was the one who pointed it out to him.

The worst part about everything was that Quinn had idolized Rhys. He used to watch his parents with longing, hoping that he would have a love like the one they very obviously had.

But now he knew better. It was just some sort of angle his father was working.

And because of that conviction, Quinn didn't notice the worried look on Eden's face, or the wary, yet almost hurt, look Rhys had on his when they turned to look at him.

Quinn jutted his jaw forward. "I'm just getting a book," he said coolly. He could feel their eyes follow him as he grabbed a random book from the shelf.

As he walked out of the room, Rhys said, "Quinn..." Quinn halted and gave him a bland look, but said nothing. "What...?" Rhys turned up his hands in a shrug.

Quinn jutted his jaw forward. "You know what," he said cryptically.

"No, I don't. I really, really don't."

"Yeah. Sure you don't."

Rhys tossed his hands in the air. "Oh whatever," he said.

"Quinn," Eden said kindly, "why don't you tell us what's wrong?"

For a moment Quinn wanted to run over to them, fall to his knees, and wrap his arms around them as he cried and told them about what he had read and how things just weren't working out like he had hoped and dreamed. That he wasn't happy. Not at all. Not with anything.

But he didn't. Instead he just spun on his heel and walked out of the room.
