Am home! Our flight home was about an hour and a quarter late, and there was a loud and unattended kid sitting behind us, but beyond that there were no major hitches. By which we mean, traffic is evil. Yes, they closed off the bridge to Seattle today for Seafair stuff, which we didn't quite realize until we got on the highway, and after which it took us a half an hour to get to the nearest exit, turn around, and get back to Bellevue. We have arrived safely in New York. The weather is still like walking into a sponge, but the museums are (very) air-conditioned, as is our place of lodging. To be specific, the apartment of some family friends. It's very cute, and full of the husband's artwork. Apparently, he both paints and scuplts, along with singing opera professionally ( Read more... )
