My mother seems to be of the opinion that sleeping in throws off my schedule and thus is not good for me.

In general, the Sergeant enjoyed military life. The orderlies, the doughnuts, the spinning chair-all in all, life was good. Just now, he was enjoying a short nap in his lovely office after a nice cream-filled doughnut. Unfortunately, this pleasant state of affairs was not to last.

So, after many moons, the play is over. And the Meg looked on it and saw that it was good.
Seriously, though, that was fun, and I will definitely do it again next year. Today was the last performance, and although I wasn't as disappointed as I thought I would be for it to end, it was time. I've heard varying opinions on which performance was better ( Read more... ) -

So Spiritual Emphasis Week started on Wednesday. Apparently the theme is "walk across the room". Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think a group of missionary kids may be the wrong audience for the comfort zone speech. So far, everything's been pretty stereotypical SE Week. Hmm...I've posted more entries to my livejournal in the past week than I have in the past six months.
Play practise today was actually good. I've finally got my character down. I was able to sit on Drew without making it obvious I know he's there. I need more volume, but that is much easier than, say, changing my character completely, which is what ( Read more... ) -
Ordinarily he was insane, but he had lucid moments when he was merely stupid.
If I commit murder, don't throw me in the loony bin, please. I was under great stress. Honest, I was. It was the directors of my play. Today, Mr. Thomson sat in on our practise, and spent the entire time contradicting everything Mr. Brande and Miss Graham had already told me. Right, so once again, play practise was...er...fun. Yeah, fun. My directors keep telling me to get more hysterical. I suppose this is where the acting part comes in, because I'm not usually hysterical. Oh well. I consider it a challenge before the whole human race, and I ain't gonna lose, etc. etc.
