Deerhunter are playing at the 40Watt this Friday as part of the Chunklet Magazine extravaganza.

I've seen Deerhunter numerous times and just saw Atlas Sound open for Sterelob, BUT I've not seen this line-up of Deerhunter or seen them since revealing the more accessible sounds of Microcastle.

So the Sloan show at the 40Watt last night was wonderful. The opening band were pretty awful, but that seems to be a trend these days. Dewey drove over from Atlanta for the show because he's a big fan boy for Sloan and they appear to be snubbing ATL on this tour.
