Bits n Pieces
Saw Batman Begins last night. Absolutely awesome movie, not to mention one of the best superhero movies of all time. I loved what Nolan did with this film, from an origin point of view. Also, it looks like this will be the beginning of a trilogy...or more. I won't spoil it for you! Props to Mr. Bale for doing a great job as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Also, strong supporting performances from Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Michael Cain, who makes an excellent Alfred. If you liked Spiderman or X-Men, you'll love this. Plus, if you loved the Tim Burton/Michael Keaton Batman films, you'll appreciate this. Definitely worth going to see it.
Wayne Gretzky, the best player ever to lace up the skates, has signed on again to put together Team Canada's roster for the Olympics. This is big for Canada, and I for one am glad to see the Great One get involved again. Big for Canada, big for the game, just plain big. Love it. Miss the game terribly.....terribly. I need my Wings.
Speaking of hockey, Disney sold the Mighty Ducks team. Thank god! We'll see what the new owner can do with the team. If it was me, I'd fold the thing because it goes against my belief that the league needs to be downsized. The one good thing for the Ducks is that they're rumored to be getting Brian Burke as their new GM. As much as I don't like the guy, he knows hockey and he's a very good GM.
Lots of band shows coming up. Been playing a lot. Looking at getting a new mouthpiece, a Bach 5G or 5GS...still undecided about which one I want.
How bout them Tigers! Three straight wins and a series sweep over the Padres. Nice to see a brief demonstration of consistency. Let's see how long they can string this winning streak together for. My guess....it ends against San Fransisco this weekend.
Pistons....I still think they win in 7.
Is there anything better in life than a Slurpee?
Almost done with Sex and the City, season 6 part 1. That means there is only one more part left before the very end. This is tragic. I love this show. I know, I'm a guy but the characters are so intriguing and the writing is great. Best TV show I've watched yet on DVD, up there with 24. What TV show should I begin after this? Any recommendations. I hear Enteraoge is good. Still working on 24 too. Still waiting for Family Ties, Wonder Years and CHiPs.
Watch VH1's 100 Greatest Kid Stars episodes. Freakin' great! Love it! Want to take a trip down memory lane and see what those kids are doing today? Watch the stinkin' show! Awesome.
