The dress dummy arrived today, and so I got it put together, and moved the Golden Gown, which has been hanging up since Twelfth Night, onto it. I am at home with a fever that has been as high as 102, my cough & bronchitis rather improved by no voice at all. I sent Anplica (smlibrarian) off with Masae, who blessedly heard Cordelia's phone ring and ring and ring and picked it up, and then came and got smlibrarian. I'll post pictures soon, but Duncan's band came first this year in the parade, luckily after the fire engines and not the horses! I've had a migraine since 2:30 this morning, and Duncan has parade today at noon, and I wanted to be sewing the rest of the time. I now can't see very well, despite best efforts and meds. Back to bed.

jaie is my hero!!! She did a bunch of sewing for me and reduced my tension level significantly!

I'm seriously unhappy with the neckline for Duncan's black undercotte.I'm going to take the trim and the binding off it, make a facing from the same black linen, and re-sew it. It will be a little wider than originally planned, but I think it will be neater. I'm going to take a break for a few hours because I don't want to try to sew it while I'm ( Read more... )
