Maggie update... again
Maggie has had some complications.
Tuesday, she started seeping blood and fluids pretty heavily (and suddenly) from her incision. We rushed her to the vet, and she's been there ever since.
Her doctor says that they did the stitches in three layers, and sometimes, a pocket of infection forms between layers, and since it has nowhere else to go, it leaks out. That's actually a good thing if you think about it... you certainly wouldn't want that to stay in.
She also had a very high fever (105.65), so he decided to keep her, re-open her incision, and give her some intense medications for the fever, infection, and pain.
She should be coming home tomorrow... well, today, technically; if she doesn't, we're going to go visit her, because we miss her like mad, and imagine she's feeling a bit confused and abandoned at this point.
*sigh* Poor little girl.
