once upon a time
We had a massive weekend. So massive that I am still feeling the effects from it and it's already 8:26pm, Sunday.
It was thanks mainly to Steve who, it turns out, is a beast and doesn't believe in sleep. We had him over for dinner on Friday and he stayed until past 4am. I clocked out at around 2:30am because I couldn't keep my eyes open. Zach and him made it past 4am. Then we got up early Saturday (early, as in 10am) to only then meet up again and headed to Kansas City for Buzz Beach Fall Festival. 9 hours of music. Luckily the weather was in a mild 80s (with a breeze, under the shade) and it was a delightful evening. We were entertained by the likes of The Kooks, Flogging Molly, The Dirty Heads, The Shins, Kimbra and Foster the People. Sublime with Rome were the main-main headliners but we headed out soon after Foster finished their set. My head eventually hit the pillow around 2am this morning and we rose from slumber around 10am.
