Time for Round 2

Oct 29, 2007 09:42

Well today officially kicked off my training for Half Marathon #2. I officially have 10 weeks to train for this one and get my mileage back up after my long recovery/rest. It will have to be very task oriented but I can do it.

It also means that I will be running on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. All for the love of the sport. Hey, at least I dont have to feel guilty about eating holiday food LOL.

This morning's run went well. I opted for a 50 minute 3 walk/2 run interval. I was able to clock a 46:10 5K which isnt bad seeing as I haven't run in over a week! However it was freezing this morning. I am definitely going to have to figure out my winter running wardrobe because a tank top and running skirt wont cut it when it gets cooler.

Here are the stats:

Warm Up- 0.50 miles (Cold cold cold)

The Run Stats:
Total Distance: 3.83 miles
Average Pace: 15:32/mi
Average Speed: 3.9 MPH
Max Speed: 6.0 MPH
Average HR: 160 BPM
Max HR: 190 BPM

Goals for this go round:
Regular updates to the blog of my progress
Run the Disney Half in a 3 walk/2 run interval
Figure out this Exercise Induced Asthma (any help out there runners?)
Stay Motivated and Eat Healthy

disney, 5k
