On Saturday the mean and dirty Ditas of T34M D4NC3 P4RTY completed our unexpectedly epic collaboration Fade to Grey.
Evidently this did not slake my thirst for momentous fic-related happenings, as I have just posted the final chapter (& epilogue) of my stupid ginormous AU fic Strider's Edge.
I have been working on this thing since June. It is 67,000 words long. I cannot quite believe it is over. It's not all good, but I assure you, vicar, parts of it are excellent.
The original goal was to write a Homestuck fic splicing Brideshead Revisited with The Secret History. If you have read and enjoyed either of those books, you stand a better-than-average chance of liking Strider's Edge, but you might get some fun out of it regardless. Please do go give it a try and let me know what you think. Caution: trigger warnings for blood, death, Dave, alcohol consumption that borders on the Withnail and I, intertextuality, large-scale quadrant slippage, and, I think I can reasonably claim, more pretentious quotations than have ever before been concentrated in a single Homestuck fic.
