Orientation III: UGH.

Aug 23, 2009 22:19

Third day of Orientation. We had our first Seminar class today, with different professors teaching than will be actually teaching our classes once the semester starts next Monday. My seminar's Aesthetics in Japenese Culture and Identity, and we spent ALL DAY researching Clark's Nutcrackers [a kind of bird], then, in the last five minutes, wrote haikus.

The day was pretty fun. Or would've been for me, if I was feeling more social. I seriously just want to curl up in a little ball in my bed and listen to music, read, and fall back into my usual routine of not speaking to much of anyone.

And I leave tomorrow afternoon for my Base Camp trip up through late Wednesday night. I get to do yoga and meditate in the middle of the mountains. Whoo.

Note my obvious enthusiasm.
