So, the second day on campus went pretty well. Well enough that I'm actually going to WRITE an entry. WOOHOO.
Woke up at 8 am to the sound of the bell chiming. More like it was saying, "OH HEY GUYS IT'S EIGHT O'CLOCK LAWL" to all of us suddenly-exhausted Freshman.
So, Skylar and I got up, showered, dressed, and went down to the Wheel (It's actually the Sub, but I'm trying to make the Wheel catch on... long story.) for breakfast. I had two doughnuts and some raisin bran to eat, and filled my metal-water bottle-nalgene-THING up with iced black tea. Paid for the whole thing, sat down, and talked with people I DIDN'T KNOW while I ate. The girls were nice, the guys were nice. I enjoyed it.
Then I contemplated hanging stuff up in my dorm, and instead went down to my advising-orientaion group meeting, where we talked about stuff. We're the Japanese 101 advising group, and there're only 10 of us, so it's pretty awesome. Most of us are in the same seminar and thus, the same floor, which is pretty awesome, in my opinion.
Well, after that, we had an hour to eat lunch, so I went with Kylie, Thomas, Sarah, Annin, and Jessica, who lives right next door to me. Thomas is actually the only one of us who isn't in the Japanese Aesthetics seminar, but he's trying to get in to it, and he's pretty cool (so much anime and manga. Oh, and he's kinda cute too, but ANYWAYS). Didn't really eat much myself (no one in our group was that hungry, except for Sarah, who had a corn dog), then went back to meet our advisor, Professor Tyson.
I swear, that woman has more energy than should be legal for someone her age. She's nice, and I have a feeling that I'll enjoy her class. Even though I might get moved up to the 200-level for Japanes,e thanks to all my experience. It's her call, though.
Right when I came out, my family was waiting for me, because today was another family-friendly day on campus. Mom helped me hang all my posters and wall stuff (it looks great in here), then we went to an academic fair, where I learned that I need to get my credits from SCCC transferred over here pronto, and went to pizza and ice cream with my brother and parents before they left.
THEN I had a floor-wide meeting to establish some basics up here, and ended up hagning out with Thomas in my room before everyone went to a talk about alcohol and smart choices that was apparently pretty interesting. I wouldn't know; Thomas and I ended up skipping it so we could just sit and talk in my dorm room.
Then I went to the freshman dance and dragged Thomas along. It was pretty fun, but I got tired after a while, so we went back up to Thomas' room and watched Azumanga Daioh on his laptop. He has so much anime, I swear. =o I am jealous.
And then we talked, and I went back down here to my room, where I started downloading the subtitled episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and watched. I like. This is good.
Hn. Sleep is sounding REALLY good now, too. Dang it.
