Rooms!
So, today was pretty average until about 3 pm. I hung around the house, read some fanfic, wrote a bit for the next chapter of Bakashipping, and chatted on Skype while listening to music on my Pandora Radio [mostly on my Green Day/Angels & Airwaves channel]. Talked about Pokemon with my younger brother [who, as of Sunday, is 11], and just...chilled. I was mostly just looking forward to tomorrow, when my dorm assignment and info would be posted online for school this fall.
Then, at 3, I decided to get the mail, and, lo and behold, there were two letters from University of Puget Sound; one for me, one for my parents. Mine was thicker, though. So, I ran inside, squealing at the top of my lungs, opened it up, and read my assignment.
I got Todd/Phibbs Hall, room 207, which is nice. It looks like it's one of the floors on campus that is co-ed not by floor, but by door. Which means, instead of being on a floor with a bunch of girls, I'll have guys next door. Mom's going to LOVE that, I think, since she had me originally sign up for co-ed by floor, with by door as my second option.
So, I looked at my roommate assignment, and I was, "Well, alright. Let's look her up on Facebook." And I did.
Well.... Let's just say I'm hoping she's a LOT nicer than she looks, and that she can deal with my various levels of oddness. Otherwise, I might be in for some trouble.
Also, I don't know if I'm on the Japanese Aesthetics/Culture and Identity Seminar floor yet, because my letter didn't say. Regardless, it looks like it COULD be, since, y'know, I'm on a co-ed floor.
Grargh. Oh well.
At least I have a friend there already who talks about anime with me. That's nice.
