[It was dawn. Or at least the time the elf was used to the sun rising. The sun usually poked in a window and helped her wake up, so when light flickered by her eyes, she sat up in her hammock and yawned. Alleyne pried her eyes open blearily, thinking something off about the lighting.
Why were there torches lit? And why had she woken up in what appeared to be a wooden shack? Her desk was there, stacked with gradebooks, tomes on tactics, and books of war and weapons as per usual. All around were bookshelves filled with musty old tomes, maps, and scrolls in her own handwriting and behind her desk was a shrine with wooden cracked scrimshaws. She knew the faces on them.
Echidna. Nowa. Echidna's had a dagger pinning it through to the shrine, Nowa's was blurred, and there was one she couldn't quite make out in the middle. A dartboard was on the wall with a picture of Echidna drawn on it.
A bit perturbed, she got dressed, made her way out, and looked around. A huge, dark forest encampment was here, in the middle of a clearing, surrounded by thick and seemingly ageless trees. Looking up, one couldn't see the sky, but it seemed to be nighttime. Reinforced treehouses lined the way, plenty of traps surrounding their doors and windows. Torches and campfires lit the way to a sturdy steel gate.
Along the way, she met with the faces of many female warriors of many races, from elves to humans to angels to demons and even a troll or two, their orange horns showing proudly. All of them in varying levels of armor, carrying all sorts of weapons. Some looked kind, some feral, but all were strong.
There in the middle of it all stood...another Alleyne. She was loud and angry, giving command, her eyes wandering every which way. It gave the actual Alleyne a start, making her way through the gate. The women guarding it told her to have a nice day and that they'd protect the encampment with their lives.]
[So Alleyne sits here now, outside her door, looking exhausted. She forgot to bring her weapons or books with, only taking her usual outfit out with her. Had this happened to anyone else, too? It was most certainly the castle up to its old tricks, she couldn't be the only one with her room invaded, right?
She rubs her head, frustrated, sighing. Her eyes look up at the roof, biting her lips as she speaks to the walls themselves.]
What do you want from us now? Will you ever have your fill of our being tortured?
[ooc: Open like Alleyne's eyes aren't doing! Come and have fun, anyone! Fair warning though, those guards/trainees are hostile and will attack if provoked in any way!]
